What an amazing place!! We stayed at Kemah Tinggi for 10 days back in April 2019 and had just THE best time! The villa accommodation is absolutely stunning with each bedroom located privately around the pool and open living area. Each room is thoughtfully furnished and has everything you could need including luxurious toiletries.
Spending time chatting with the most delightful and helpful staff was lovely. . . Wayan the villa manager was a brilliant chauffeur who helped recommend places for us to see and visit, Ayu, Iluh and Sinta the housekeeper and staff couldn’t do enough to look after us. The amazing food which was cooked and served for us each day was perfect, including fresh fish and traditional balianese dishes, all cooked on site by the chefs.
The weather was hot and humid but with the lovely pool and sheltered day beds strategically located across the site we were in heaven! A stay at Kemah Tinggi is highly recommended and we wouldn’t hesitate to return to this perfect place!! Lindsey, UK, 2019
Wonderful stay at Kemah Tinggi. As a family that has traveled extensively over an 8 month world trip, we can safely say that Kemah Tinggi is one of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever stayed in, and one that will live long in the memory.
The space itself is vast, with 4 seperate rooms, a central open-plan sitting area, dining room and one of the nicest pools we’ve had the pleasure of using. The route to Kemah Tinggi takes you through picturesque rice paddies, with quieter roads here in this small village of Seseh compared to busier Seminyak and Kuta. Being only a 30 minute drive away from all the action of these places makes for the perfect balance of convenience and peacefulness. The property sits behind an unassuming Balinese doorway, and once you make your way through this the expansive beauty of the place comes into full view. Our bedroom overlooked a neighbouring rice paddy, making for some exceptional sunrise and sunset views.
With a personal butler service, private chef and numerous other members of staff on hand to make your stay as comfortable as possible, the service is truly impeccable, yet sensitive of guest privacy. No request seems too big, and the way the team take care of you during your stay is definitely one of the factors that makes this an experience to remember.
Travelling with 2 children, it’s always a huge relief when a place is able to cater for the needs of little people as well as big. With a huge supply of board games, pool games, DVDs and most importantly for our children, a big box of lego, there is plenty to keep the children engaged. Food options are also very flexible, and definitely geared towards families, making meal planning a breeze.
If you’re looking for a 5* luxury hotel experience in the privacy of your own space, this is the place for you. Thank you for a wonderful, wonderful stay Kemah Tinggi team, we can’t wait to come back! Karen, UK, 2018
Fantastic Bali villa accommodation. We stayed at Kemah Tinggi in January for six nights following the recommendation of a friend from Perth who had stayed there previously. Penny the owner was very responsive to our needs and the villa (as pictured) did not disappoint. We hadn't been to Canggu before but it was a pleasant surprise with cool restaurants, coffee and shops. While the in house catering at the villa was superb we ate at La Lucciola (upmarket in Seminyak), Bro Resto (in Canggu - cool and inexpensive) and Betelnut twice - excellent for a healthy lunch (and burgers!). Membership of the nearby Canggu club (gym, waterslides and pools) was an added bonus given the 4 young adults in our group of 6.Thanks to the villa manager Wayan (who was outstanding), Komang, Sinta, Iluh and the team at the villa who were all fabulous.
The only minor downside is the local beach which is probably one to avoid. Echo Beach (a drive away) is better but only really for surfing.
I would thoroughly recommend Kemah Tinggi villa - 5 stars! Lachlan, Perth, 2017
Perfect holiday with young children! We stayed in June 2015 with two families including three toddlers. Unlike most villas in Bali, this villa had a pool fence, high chairs, car seats, toys and was targeted to families with young children. It was also in a beautiful little village - Seseh which was away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Seminyak but within driving distance (about an hour because the traffic is pretty bad). The villa came with a vehicle and driver and 8 staff. The daily rate includes breakfast, the car, staff etc the extras were food at cost, drinks, petrol and nanny/babysitting services. The staff are absolutely lovely, our children all fell in love with Sinta and my daughter is still asking for her (and strawberry milkshakes). The villa is very well appointed, we had massages most days at sunset overlooking the rice fields, the beds were amazingly comfortable and everything that was promised by the owner was delivered. We had a couple of miscommunications once at the villa, but we put those down to the language barrier. We have been home for a couple of days now and what we are talking about most in the amazing food. The chefs were absolutely surperb and the food was immaculately prepared (no Bali belly for any of us) and absolutely delicious. We had plans to head out to restaurants but we only did that once and that was for the gorgeous Tanah Lot Temple sunset dinner. We hired in a nanny a couple of times for our friends' children and she was lovely, but mostly we used the holiday to spend time with our child, have a couple of rounds of golf, shop a little and relax. We also got membership to the Canggu Club included so we went to the Splash waterslide park a couple of times (about 20 minutes away) and the Bounce trampoline park. That was enough for the kids, they were pretty happy at the villa. The pool is enormous and the kids loved the soccer pitch. This is at the higher end for cost for villas in Bali, but for us it was absolutely worth it. We were spoilt for 11 days, came home with all our clothes washed and ironed, we ate well, slept well and enjoyed 30 degrees every day away from the Melbourne winter. Mostly importantly we could focus on our daughter and really enjoy the quality time. Once at the villa, the biggest stress is what to order for dinner. Highly recommend this villa, especially if you have toddlers. Donna, Melbourne, 2015
Best family holiday.....ever!!! The villa itself is stunning. Walking through the gates and it feels like you have just entered paradise. The facilities and amenities are great.
This was one of the most amazing holidays we have ever experienced. We went with 3 other families - in total 7 adults and 6 children. The villa and its staff enable you to have a relaxing, beautiful and easy time together. The staff are amazing expecially with the children who made the holiday relaxing and special for all of the adults. Not having to worry about the children or think about cooking made this the first real holiday we all had experienced in a while.
The villa is out of the hustle and bustle of Seminyak, so if you are looking for a relaxing holiday with family or friends this is the ideal location. However, if you ever want to go to a bar or exploring there is always a car and driver at your disposal.
Also, the food is amazing. Restaurant quality food utilising the freshest ingredients.
In summary, this was the most relaxing holiday we all had experienced and we never wanted to leave the villa. This is why we have already booked again for a return holiday next year. Robert, Sydney, 2015
Paradise found - again! It's been nearly 6 years since we last stayed at Kemah Tinggi. It is our favourite place. It seems to have got even better if that is possible. The staff are still the same - happy, smiling, attentive, welcoming, cannot do enough, and are fantastic with the kids. Ours are now older and yet everyone was thrilled to see each other. Penny, the owner, has thought of everything and my sister and her family, who were on their first visit to Bali, loved everything about Kemah Tinggi. The rooms are immaculate, the outdoor bathrooms beautiful and each room has a special touch. The food is delicious and there is no need to go out to eat when you can you can have a relaxing early evening massage overlooking the paddy fields, followed by a cocktail and a delicious meal. We had a fun day with Bali bike, cycling from Ubud though the villages - highly recommended - culminating in a traditional Balinese lunch at the owner's compound. Would really recommend this to families with kids aged 8 upwards. Nothing is too much trouble at KT. We will be back and we won't wait 6 years this time. Our celebratory meal out on the grass with the flags for my sister's anniversary was extra special. Lots of happy memories. Room tip: All rooms are lovely and each have their own special features - top pick is Sawah overlooking the rice fields, then Taman with it's own secluded garden - but you can't fault Desa - upstairs overlooking the fields out to sea with a balcony outdoor shower, or Umah. All beds are SUPER comfortable, there is plenty of room to put your clothes away, and all the bathrooms are gorgeous. Penny, Singapore, 2015
